Care instructions

Recommendations for your garment to preserve the customisation in optimal conditions.

At PL18 we put all our attention into the quality of each customisation, but its maintenance depends largely on how the garment is washed, dried, ironed and handled.

These instructions do not replace the garment label, but complement it. For any questions, you can contact us.

Deterioration of the print, paint, vinyl, DTF, embroidery or customisation directly caused by washing, drying, ironing, handling or maintenance contrary to these instructions will not be considered a non-conformity attributable to the Company, without prejudice to the consumer's legal rights when the defect has a different cause or is attributable to the Company.

In the event of a discrepancy between our instructions and the garment label, follow the most restrictive instruction regarding temperature, drying, ironing or use of chemical products.By correctly preserving your garment, you will enjoy the customisation for longer.

General instructions

  • Wash the garment inside out.
  • Use gentle cycles and non-aggressive detergents.
  • Do not use bleach, whiteners, active oxygen or abrasive products.
  • Do not rub the customised area directly.
  • Do not soak the garment for prolonged periods.
  • Do not iron directly on the print, vinyl, DTF or paint.
  • If ironing, do so inside out or with a protective cloth at a moderate temperature.
  • Avoid prolonged and direct exposure to the sun during drying.
  • Always follow the most restrictive instruction between the garment label and the customisation instructions.

Instructions for DTF

  • Wash inside out at a maximum temperature of 40°.
  • It is recommended to use short or gentle cycles.
  • Do not use an electric tumble dryer.
  • Do not apply direct heat to the DTF.
  • Do not iron directly on the print.
  • Do not use bleach, whiteners, aggressive stain removers or dry cleaning, unless the product's technical data sheet expressly permits it.

Washing at temperatures above 40 °C, using a tumble dryer or applying direct heat can deteriorate, deform, crack or reduce the adhesion of the DTF.

  • Wash inside out, preferably at a low temperature and, in any case, without exceeding the maximum temperature indicated on the garment or in the customisation instructions.
  • Do not rub the printed area directly.
  • Do not use bleach, whiteners or aggressive detergents.
  • Do not use a tumble dryer unless it has been expressly stated that the applied technique allows it.
  • Do not iron directly on the printed area.

Certain paints or inks may require a minimum curing time before the first wash; when applicable, this will be indicated to the customer on the product sheet, quote or delivery instructions.

Instructions for embroidery

  • Wash according to the label of the base garment, preferably inside out.
  • Avoid intensive rubbing over the embroidered area.
  • Do not cut threads or manipulate the embroidery.
  • Iron inside out or with protection, avoiding excessive direct pressure on the relief of the embroidery.

Normal wear and tear from use, snags, stretching or external handling will not be considered a defect attributable to the Company.
